My wife has a lifetime friend, who lives in Hessle, and, from our experience on the many occasions that we have visited, I would say that the conclusions highlighted by the opening post are very wide of the mark.

I have found that the people I met there have a very specific sense of fun. Could it be that they have invented their own idiosyncratic way of taking the p*ss out of the patronising jerks who produced that program?

If so, I heartily applaud. Go on folks, GIVE'EM HULL!
