Fortunately it was brought to action by Israeli authorities. No chance for the usual outcry 'antisemitism!'

What pray tell, does this case have to do with anti-Semitism? And to what purpose would anyone raise that canard in a discussion of it?

BTW, the position of president in Israel is essentially ceremonial with no real political power; much like that of governor general in Canada.
