The Dougie Maclean concert was excellent, but sadly finished at 10. There was nothing following it, so we all thought he could have been given a longer time slot (unless he only was paid for an hour!)
He declined to sing Caledonia when it was requested.

The talk was hosted by Colin Irwin who did a brilliant job, and by some clever talking round the subject, persuaded him to sing Caledonia for us! We found out about Dougie's tractor collection, and that he had personally approved Beth Orton as a valid songwriter, when she was young! Most enjoyable.
