Like the Kennedy assassination, everybody can recall just what they doing on the night of the accident. I was touring Britanny at the time when rumours started flying around that Nic had been in a smash, and the chances of his survival were decidedly pessimistic. I watched Nic in the Valley Folk Club in Pontardawe and marvelled at the sheer artistry of his guitar playing, his passionate singing and his inscisive and diligent research.
