They may have been popular in their time, but this is what people were fed to them by the entertainment industry. On a modern note, Madonna represents empowerment to a lot of women and her records sell in their millions. Yet her singing is flat and lifeless. As with Formby, it is not about slagging people off. It is about having an opinion. According to you, weelittledrummer, we should like anyone without discrimination. No, I have never set foot on a stage. If I did, I would be putting myself into the public domain where people would have the right to express any opinion they liked.
