Ya' know Don, YOUR post then brings up something else! What if the thing changes in meaning? Perhaps you find that really a bug's ear is NOT cute or I wonder what would happen if one day they found that rat asses would cure, say, AIDS or cancer or something? At that point you might want to think about whether or not you DO give a rat's ass.
