A Republican candidate for the US Senate , Bob Corker, from Tennessee, has raised the ire of some Candians within our government, with his campaign ads. Seems the ad basically accused Canada of contributing nothing to the US's war on terrorism.

Considering that a Canadian soldier serving in Afghanistan is 6 times more likely to die, than an American soldier serving in Iraq, I'm a bit curious to know exactly by what yardstick Mr. Corker measures our contribution. It certainly doesn't seem to be a yardstick with any value based upon human life. At the very least Mr. Corker owes an apology to the families of the Canadian soldiers who have paid the ultimate price for their involvement.
