Henry was a capitalist who understood socialism. If his workers were fairly paid and healthy they would work harder and be more productive. I suppose it was win/win . He kept the price of his cars low so they would sell to working people because he understood that they were his biggest potential market. Not rocket science but far above the limited mentality of most capitalists of his day.
