As much as it is deplorable--taking away voting rights like that--the issue isn't not specifically racism, although that is probably how a case against the Republicans could be won. The real issue is that of democracy in the USA. Y'all kiss that g'bye and it won't matter a tinker's damn what colour, religion, sex, ethnicity you are. As was mentioned upthread, this kinda crap may breed new 'freedom' fighters. However, it will be very difficult to organize when you have no rights left. The time for that sort of organizing is NOW, while you can still use the i'net, telephone, mail system. IMO.
