As my father would commandeer the telly whenever the footy results came on, we had no choice but to hear/see them. On a saturday that alright 'cos it usually meant that the next programme was Dr Who!

I like watching local sides play or the sunday teams on Hackney marshes, but league football games tend to leave me cold. But then hype is always the quickest way to put me off something. I must say that I REALLY enjoy watching the few games a year that I see of Aussie rules football. Not so much a sport as vaguely organised carnage.......
