A few minutes ago, the AP and NBC News have announnced that Jim Webb is the winner of the Virginia Senate Race giving democrats. As I watch, Joe Scarborough, a Republican, is giving it to Webb. Although it still isn't official, it is already decided. Webb has won. There are 49 dems, 49 pubs, and 2 indies. The indies--one of them a socialist--have indicated they will caucus with the dems essentially making it a 51-49 Senate in favor of the dems. Allen's camp have hinted that he will likely concede as early as tomorrow.

What a stunning reversal literally overnight! And while the dems are still sort of pinching themselves and still be hesitant to talk too strongly about investigating the scandals, the fraud and the rationale for war there is little doubt that they will do so. They have to. To ignore it would be criminal in and of itself and the election itself is the people telling them, "You'd damned well better!" And they will. They have to. There's too much there to ignore and they wouldn't be doing their jobs if they ignore it.

Bush is nervous and he needs to be nervous. Long time in coming. God, it feels good to hear the conservative bitching and moaning for a change.
