I'm not willing to say "useless" yet either. However, let us not look for any immediate or sweeping changes. Pelosi has already taken impeachment off of the table. She's most likely to bend to the centrists.

The good news is that having the Democrats in charge of Capitol Hill restores some semblance of Separation of powers. While I'm not thrilled with the idea of going sideways, it beat the heck out of rolling downhill backwards as we have been doing for the last six years. All that I'm advising is that we shouldn't get our hopes up too high.
