Once more....if we impeached Bush, and were ABLE to get a conviction (no slam dunk) we get **CHENEY**...

The impeachment process is tedious and distracting and the stuff that Bush did is not 'exactly' High Crimes & Misdemeanors....(though a renowned member of the faculty at Georgetown Law School 'thinks' a case can be made the he violated the intent of the Constitution with his many 'signing statements')

It IS awkward, and I DEARLY wish we had a system that allowed for govt. change mid-stream, such as exists in the UK.
