I like "go figure". What would you say otherwise, "go and think about it for a while until you reach a conclusion?" Brevity ain't all bad.

What's annoyed me for a while is "the exception that proves the rule". Except of course, if it's an exception then it doesn't do anything of the sort. It was only quite recently that I learnt about the old meaning of "prove", which was "to test" - so it actually means "the exception that tests the rule and shows it's wrong". Since then, it *really* gets on my nerves.
