I've just read that there is a new musical in Chicago based on Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen. It is by Frank Galati, who musicalized Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath about 6 years ago. Music is by Michael Smith ("The Dutchman", and former member of Weavermania), and musicans include Kat Eggleston and Barbara Barrow. Info here:
