Oops - sorry, Barry. I'd heard Justine was performing, but got John and the Gloucester crew stuck in my head. Kinda noisy in there... (Would have been worse if it had been a whole churchload of folks!)
Al and Barbara did some wonderful songs, and Barbara said she'd assumed everybody knew them. Well, no, but that just goes to show that songs are still just a bit local, and folk music's still community based, no matter what's in the books, on the radio or in the music shops.
I thought it was a really good session, despite the swarm of footbal fans at the bar. They came, they yelled a lot, and then they went home. Not so bad, though. Just more like a Friday night than a Saturday afternoon.
