Here is a message from Theo Thomas:

FRIDAY 24th NOVEMBER 2006 - FLORIDA

'Florida adopt a confident, bold and brassy persona, with trumpet, flugelhorn and sax adding to their already deeply impressive sound' - Rock 'n Reel
'Those of us who have ranted and raved to their brazen driving rhythms will know why they are being booked at more and more bops…Florida get better every time I hear them…' Folk Roots
'Florida have the confidence and musicianship to feature trumpet and saxophone as front line melody instruments' Shire Folk

Just a few examples of what the Folk Press say about this impressive and experience ceilidh band, who will be the guest band at Hitchin's Unicorn Ceilidh at Hitchin Town Hall on Friday 24th November.
Fronting the band will be the ever-ebullient caller GORDON POTTS, back again after a storming night in September. He is one of the country's top callers, after all, so it seems right we should invite him back!

The interval entertainment this month is from RAINMAKERS – internationally-costumed dancers displaying traditional and contemporary folk dances from all over the world, many to tunes with odd time signatures!

Just a few tickets are now left for our grand New Year's Eve 'BIG CEILIDH' – get there early to secure yours!

Doors open at 7.30 for an 8.00 p.m. start, with an 11.30 p.m. finish – entry is only £7.50 for adults and £4 for children under 14. Tickets are available at the door, or in advance from 01582 733113 / 724261

There's also a real ale bar, with a selection from the Potton Brewery, and soft drinks.
