I missed going to Ashwell today.

I popped over to the Winterfolk there a couple of times this weekend. (Popped is probably wishful thinking for the first visit, via Biggleswade, forgetting route).

I learnt about song-writing from George P, met Hilary for the first time and got some sound advice from Martin on my accordian playing and how to avoid backache.

I heard lots of traditional songs and recognised few. But sang along anyway - it was that kind of a do.

Meanwhile my son's friend's mother was busy making him a cake for his 18th birthday! I offered to write him a song, but he wasn't too keen.

No guilty working guitar-learning mother-syndrome for me.
