Hope Shimrod is not meaning Whitby, if so you went to the wrong places. Not been to many others than Whitby, although been there for many years. We may be a little partisan, but is there any other to match it. Dont normally go to the organised events as the atmospere around the towns less formal venues takes some beating. Must admit, however, there are times when you have to be willing to move and take your chance somewhere else. Some of the regulars who do not appear at any of the functions are well worth listening to and more than make up for the odd disappointing lunch time or evening.
If it was Whitby please try it again as I am sure you wont be disappointed twice.
