Not very helpful here, maybe, but a short note about William Tell:

Recently, archaeological evidence unearthed in southern Switzerland revealed that not only did William Tell exist - but that he had a large extended family.
As well, the records indicated that he and his family were all fervent 'Ninepin' bowlers.
Sadly, though, the details of game, teams and / or competition levels are lost - so we shall probably never ascertain "For Whom the Tells Bowled"!!!
