Sorry for the tone, Let me elaborate;If ingnorance is bliss, some of you must be very happy indeed. First of all, pot is not a drug. It is by definition an herb. And mescal is an alcoholic beverage made from the agave plant. Mescaline is a derivitive. Now we all know alcohol is a drug and ruined many a good man. But to derive such meaningless drivel from a classic song is quite an excersize in stupidity. Please read some science for a change and stop this B.S. once and for all. As for truth, there is a report from a study in 2002 that suggested there was a cognitive deficit in pot smokers that the ONDCP jumped on with vigor. However, JAMA (the Journal of the American Medical Assc.) has discounted as bad science. Read the truth and educate yourself about the miracle herb-Marijuana. Many studies report quite the opposite effect on pot smoker's. The much maligned herb actually provides some health benefits to altzheimer's and parkinsonian patients in early study results. The stigma attatched to pot is continually re-inforced by ignorant people who never will get it because they lack the capacity for open minded and logical thought. Perhaps cognitive deficits are begining to show themselves in folks who do not partake and should.
