I've been living down near the lake in Canberra, and one of the joys of getting the bus from there in the morning is watching the many flocks of birds that coast in to feast on the local plantlife. It's a beautiful moment when you look up to see if the bus is coming over the hill, and instead see a dozen galahs or rosellas
swarming through the trees.
