If I remember the story correctly, the first time Donovan met Dylan, Donovan played him a new tune which turned out to be Mr Tambourine Man (probably Donovan had ingested it from some background radio or something). How's that for life's embarrassing moments!!! Dylan decided he was a phony from then on (and when Dylan decided something, that was it forever). (This could, of course, be a completely apocryphal story).
God, Season of the Witch, Guinevere. The hours I spent listening to those songs. When I think of the kinds of flower-power outfits I was wearing at the time -- or was it just the drugs???!!!!!!
