I am reminded of the Petyer Sellers skit which he had on one of his early albums. Master of voices/ impersonations that he was , one track was his take on an interview which was broadcast on BBC in the mid-fifties between Gilbert Harding and the then young, yet already renowned for his capacity for the drink, Brendan Behan. It started out as follows and went rapidly downhill thereafter:-

Harding character (after effusive introduction): So, tell me now Mr....

Behan character(interrupting): I'll tell ya nuthin' ya spot-faced bastard. Yis murdered me mammy's people and damn you all for.....etc.

That young Parkinson could learn a thing or two about interviewing techniques yet.
