My birthday is three days before Christmas and my daughter is three days after. Rule number one: Never present a birthday present wrapped in Christmas paper. I will place them under the tree to wait for Christmas day.
At a young age all the excitement of the season can seem to be just for you. But in my teens when I almost convinced my folks to let me celebrate a half birthday my large extneded family began a 10 year glut of graduations.

It does make for a celebratory season.
