It's like snow - when it turns up, no-one knows what to do about it. Americans know tornados, so they stay safe. They don't do like that bloke on the BBC News did.

"I saw a tornado out of my window. It was huge and going along the street making a noise like a jet plane. So I went to the window to take a photo of it."
