When I point this out to them they have the "chutzpah" to tell me that I am stuck in the past and that what they do is the real folk music of today.

Do you want to be right, or do you want peace?

If you want peace, don't invite them tyo ge5t into this with you. "No thanks" is more reply than many bookers give, and is certainly sufficient if you feel you MUST respond to the unsolicited submissions.
