When the percussion and the synthesizers drown out the singer to the point where you can not discern the lyrics, you know you have a loser right off the bat. Unfortunately with many of the recent submissions that I have received this has been the rule rather than the exception. If the lyrics are not in the liner notes I have no way to figure out what the performer is trying to convey.
