There are a few free fonts out there on the Web with many musical characters (and even guitar chord diagrams) in them. A quick search on Google will turn them up. I used to have one on my old computer, but I forget what it was called. It's likely available as a download somewhere for free (my favourite price). I'll see if I can find the name....
