I not infrequently set out to do a serious, "scholarly", explication of some subtle distinction that I think people have missed.

So I type and type, and it gets longer and longer, and finally I realize I'm creating complete bullshit. (That's a technical term.) Or maybe it's not complete bullshit, but it's pretty weakly reasoned. Awww, what the hell, it's not worth it, so just abandon it!

Yeah, yeah, I know: A lot of you will say that I let too many "complete bullshits" get by me. Oh, well.
