"Snug In The Blanket" I have always believed to be an Irish jig, which has been adapted for the Highland pipes. I've a strong suspicion it was the late Gordon Duncan [RIP] who put it onto the pipes. He certainly recorded it with the "Vale Of Atholl" Pipe Band. I also believe it was Gordon who turned it into a reel version as well.
