The worst Christmas songs tend to be those issued by pop or rock stars cashing in on the festive season - the logic seems to be 'any old crap will do, the fans will buy it in droves anyway'.

Sadly, many of these songs tend to reappear year after year on these awful compilation CDs that get advertised on TV. Who buys them every year? Do these people forget they already have all these songs on last year's CD?

Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmastime
Elton John - Step Into Christmas
Denis Waterman & George Cole - What Are We Gonna Get For 'Er Indoors
etc., etc.
