Okay to Giok's defense:

His wit was dry (I did not get it either). However, since I mentioned Olive Oyl he referenced her acute angina (I cannot verify she has one) and thus the joke that no one but Giok got. However, I am glad we got verification from the source.

I explained a bit of dry wit in another thread and got my hand slapped because I was told to explain it, ruined it. Some people need 'splaining to in order to "get" wit or a joke. It this case we all needed an explanation and then it was funny.

I wonder if Popeye (since he ate his spinnish) ever knew if Olive Oyl had acute angina? I know from the last Popeye cartoon I saw when I was a kid 40 plus years ago, Brutus never made it to first base, or did He! Maybe Olive was getting some on the side. The plot thickens.

Are Popeye cartoons available on DVD?!
