I accuse my Beautiful Wife of having no sense of humor. Which is unfair, because not QUITE true.
But not infrequently I'll tell her a joke, and she doesn't get it. She says, "Explain it to me." Whether I do or not, it's a lost cause. She won't find it funny.
You can't explain a joke. It's either funny to a given person or it's not.
