I can recommend the first one, by Mary McLaughlin. I had the good fortune to meet the lady at an Irish language summer school in Donegal this year..she's a great singer and runs a "Gaelic" choir near San Francisco. She developed her phonetic system and produced the book (which includes a CD) especially for Americans who have no Irish.
