A couple of days ago I opened a "create new thread," had a nice post all set up and ready, clicked the preview box, and right clicked the link in the preview to check that it worked.

It didn't work.

Opening a new tab, I found that the link was to a really messed up page where I couldn't easily make a link to what I wanted, so my second thought was %$@#!, and I decided to forgo starting the thread, but:

THERE AIN'T NO "CANCEL" BUTTON FOR CREATING A NEW THREAD.

It did cause me to wonder if just backing out left a mess somewhere in need of elf attention(?).

Inability to easily check back within a thread while one's preview is up may perhaps contribute to an occasional misquote or misattribution that could be more easily caught before hitting the "Submit," but I suspect few people are AR enough to be much concerned.
