Finally wrapped the last of the presents and having a last visit to Mudcatland before going to bed. Some veggie shopping in the morning.
A time for memories, all good though some a little sad about folks no longer with us. I have no problems about wishing everyone a very merry Christmas whatever your own beliefs might be.
I have no problem with people who believe in other things - enjoy them. The only problem I have is with people who tell me I shouldn't use the word "Christmas" because you would be offended. If you are offended, you tell me and I will apologise. I just don't believe you need others to speak for you.
Had a lovely conversation with my newsagent, a Muslim, who told me he would have a riot on his hands if his kids didn't get Christmas presents - all their friends get them, why shouldn't they?
I think the real warmth, love and respect for your fellow man (and woman) that comes together at this time of year is the true meaning of Christmas and that's something that transcends all religious dogma.
