Well, we're in New England and there ain't no snow here either. Lots of rain today but no white stuff forecast.

The White Christmas is all the fault of the cards showing those lovely scenes. Probably a look back to earlier times when there was snow in December - frost fairs on the Thames in London etc. Bing didn't help any either.

LH - yep, I'd go with January 31st. That would work here, might even work in the UK sometimes. Two years running in the south of England there was, for the area, heavy snow on that day.
