I didn't know David well. I just assumed that he'd always be around, another fine musician and singer, not someone to worry about. And I was surprised when Tom gave me the CD last shanty sing with the word that Dave was in hospice. Damn!

I'm glad to hear there was a final session with his close friends. It doesn't get better than that.

You know, we're all supposed to be immortal...
