Don't miss this one, phoaks! Proceeds are 100% to the Mudcat. Here's the description I just put in the auction:Okay, Mudcatters, you are in for a treat! Our own Sorcha has been busily stitching. She has spent over 20 hours in making a lap quilt/wallhanging of the Mudcat Logo! That's right, that fish jumping out of the banjo could be hanging on your wall, draped over your favourite rocker, or even hanging at your next venue. What better way to let everyone know, "I am Mudcat, hear me sing/play and, in some cases, roar!?"
Here is the info about it: 38" wide x 48" long, machine appliqued and machine quilted. Back has a bright yellow/orange tie die type water pattern. Bound in black.
I have it hanging up on my wall right now and I can tell you it looks great! This is a ONE OF KIND, 'Catters!! Handmade, never been done before and it proves that she and I are definitely not the same person! I've never quilted like this in my life!!**BG**
So, c'mon! A great way to help Max and the Mudcat out and have your own very exclusive Mudcat collectable! I know a couple of you out there are expecting first grandbabies. This is a great size to plunk a baby Mudcat on, too! Get them off in the right *key* so to speak!
Just one note: my digital camera is an early model. The picture is not as clear as I would like it to be. Sorry. There is much more detail which doesn't show very well. The neck of the banjo is made of a beautiful grayish material with a very neat, subtle design; the material for the fish has a wonderful pattern in it as well. The fish has bold balck whiskers and the water has nice details of waves stitched onto it. This is really well done, phoaks. Not only can she fiddle, she quilts!!!
Yeah! Sorcha!! Thank you, thank you!!! Let the bidding begin!!!
