Continued military involvement and probabaly some increase in troop numbers (slight or massive) - up to a point when they will all be pulled out in the run-up to an election; and total chaos in Iraq, leading to a de facto partitio of the country and massive ethnic cleansing. At some point a new authoritarian regime in Baghdad.

Whether the pull-out is in six months time or two years (or for that matter six years) the result will be just about the same.
