Apart from the obvious - family, friends, animals etc. the sort of thing that really tingles the hairs on the back of my neck, makes me feel good to be alive, is standing in the middle of a singing session, doing unaccompanied, multi-harmony songs and feeling the music going right through you. It can happen in an orchestral concert too or even when you're playing along with a group of like-minded musicians, playing the sort of music you really enjoy. You walk away from it feeling totally revived, reborn, ready to take on the world once again. And if your loved one is by your side, that's a bonus.
