There is a mountain bike trail in Colorado where a mountain lion routinely staked out a spot to jump on bikers. He killed and mauled bikers before the lion was finally killed. He was an older lion and found a place where his dinner would come to him.

Then there are the people who think they are in the wilderness when they are right on the edge of town... a mom and her daughter were walking their dogs here when a couple of guys shot and killed the German Shepherd saying they thought it was a wolf. The shooters were visiting Bozeman from Texas, I believe. A wolf with a bandana around its neck?
