I'm sorry I missed this but I am surprised to hear that about Emmylou. I figure anyone is entitled to a bad night and I've never heard one from her before. She loves to sing back-up and Karen and I were just talking yesterday how she blends with a variety of voices.

When most harmony singers come in you're struck by the sound like a slap. Emmylou is so subtle you almost have to think her part before it becomes apparent to you. There's youtube thing with Iris DeMent that shows kinda' what I'm talking about. I think she and Ronstadt together are about as good as it gets. Try this and maybe it will help you forget last night!
