Those are one step from polyester leisure suits, and after that, we are fast down the slippery slope to open chested shirts, mood rings, and silver coke spoons worn around the neck. (Say, are 'ludes making a comeback too? I'm out of the loop in that department.)

Even then, the people in the know always wore Levis bootcut, with the riveted watch pocket. Bell bottoms would catch on things, frayed faster, and made noise when you walked.

And those corderoy pants with the huge fuzzy corderoy -- frightful.

If you want to revive the one good thing about the seventies, revive the tolerant live and live attitude. That I would like to see return.
