"The warmer the winter, the more snow." Podger


That's how I think of this unusually snowy winter in southeast Alaska. Our air temperatures have been warmer than normal (with highs in the upper 30s, rather than around 20) but we are on the Pacific coast so we get a great deal of moisture and we are far enough north that that moisture comes down as snow rather than rain.

It is very pretty though. It snowed all day yesterday and overnight. This morning the temperature is just below freezing and the snow is crisp.

Last night we had our monthly folkie club concert again. While listening to the people sing I watched the snow falling steadily. Lovely.
