Just the other day we test drove a hybrid car – a Toyota Prius to be exact. I was surprised and pleased with what I saw. It looked small from the outside but it was surprisingly roomy inside. Although it didn't have a lot of trunk room I can deal with that { besides – I'm a mandolin player} . Between O and 40 it runs on it's electric motor and the gasoline engine kicks in at over 40 MPH. The gas mileage is rated at 60/50. At that rate a 15 gallon tank is going to last a long time.

Does anyone here own or have any experience with these new hybrid cars? Any ideas about the cost of upkeep?
