When we got our last car, the Prius wasn't out yet. We have a 1999 Toyota Corolla, which we bought new, and as of now, it has less than 20,000 miles on the clock. It's the second Toyota I've owned. The first one was a 1968 Corona. Between the two, I got a Honda Civic in 1982. Also an excellent car. All of them have been compact, peppy, easy to handle, easy to park, and very economical on gas and maintenance. Had the Prius been available, we would have bought one.

We have a friend who has a Prius and he loves it. He fills the tank with an eye-dropper from time to time and it just goes and goes, like the Energizer bunny (but a lot quieter: soft little hum, barely audible).
