Thread Name: BS: Sleep pattern
Subject: RE: BS: Sleep pattern
If I'm not out and about I try to get to bed by 11.30pm as I'm up just after 6am for an 8am start at work.

I know I need on average 7-8 hours sleep per 24 hours and if I don't get enough during the night I'm one of the lucky ones who can sleep on a clothes line. I'll often have a 10-20 minute doze when I get home from work in the early evening. It sets me up for an evening out and failure to have this short nap can mean dozing at the folk club it it's warm and the music is soft and relaxing.

If I'm tired in the day I can go off to sleep in a chair, on the train, in my car (not whilst driving), in the bath and on occasion in front of my computer screen at work (so lightly I can hear footfalls along the corridor and appear alert and working to the casual observer should they glance through my window).

I am a great believer in following what your body tells you. If you're not tired, don't sleep. If you're not hungry, don't eat.

However, NEVER pass up the opportunity to visit the loo for, if you do, you can guarantee that your car will get a puncture or blow a radiator hose 10 miles from home and you will have to sit with your legs crossed waiting for the R.A.C.
