Just got word yesterday that Susan Forbes Hansen's show "Valley Folk" on WFCR in Amherst, MA will no longer run due to budget issues. I am really sad about this as it was Susan's show that I listened to every Saturday night when I first moved to New England in 1998. Susan was also one of the very first DJs to play my music. Fortunately for us, she will still be on the air at WHUS out of Storrs, CT with "Sunday Night Folk Festival.

The wonderful thing about Susan's shows is that she is such a champion of all kinds of folk music and there is never a show that goes by that she doesn't include something from the Folk Legacy catalog. She is also wonderful at promoting local performances in Western MA and CT with what she would call "the dreaded folk calendar".
